KELVIN NGOMA IN TOP 10 AFRICA MONOLOGUE CHALLENGE FINAL
Kelvin Maxwell Ngoma, an award-winning actor from Malawi, has successfully made it to the top 10 finalists of the Africa Monologue Challenge. This prestigious competition brings together actors from all African countries to compete for a lead role in a Pan-African film and other exciting prizes. After surviving several evictions and beating out 40 other talented individuals, Ngoma is now one step closer to achieving his dreams.
As the second season of the challenge enters its final stage, all eyes are on the grand finale in Uganda, scheduled for May 26, 2024. The competition, organized by M.K. Casting, began last year with an initial pool of 2,000 submissions. Through a series of online challenges and bi-weekly evictions, the field was narrowed down to just 50 actors and actresses who battled it out for a spot in the final stage.
Impressing a judging panel consisting of professional filmmakers from Africa, Europe, and America, Ngoma's talent and dedication shone through. In an interview with Malawi24, he expressed his excitement for this achievement and called for support from his fellow Malawians to help him bring the accolade home.
Reports suggest that the winner of the 2024 AMC will enjoy numerous benefits, including hosting the next season's event in their own country, starring in a pan-African film produced in their country, and receiving cash prizes and other rewards. With his extensive experience in physical theatre, film, radio, and voice-over acting, Ngoma has already made a name for himself through his roles in movies such as 'The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind,' 'Fatsani – A Tale of a Survivor,' and 'Is the President Dead.'
As the competition reaches its climax, all eyes are on Kelvin Maxwell Ngoma as he strives to make his country proud and secure the coveted title of the Africa Monologue Challenge winner.
