LILONGWE DANCE

Lilongwe Dance, an organization led by women and established in 2018 by entrepreneur Yamikani Matupa Phiri and dancer Leslie Berman from the United States of America (USA), emphasizes the significance of dance.

"By utilizing dance, they are nurturing students' creativity, confidence, life, and leadership abilities," she explained, mentioning that they impact around 150 students annually through their classes.

Their goal is to challenge stereotypes about who should participate in dance classes, and to highlight the benefits of a life intertwined with dance. "We are determined to demonstrate the positive impact dance can have on the growth and development of children and young people."
