MUSIC CROSSROADS MALAWI

Music Crossroads Malawi is once again taking a step towards empowering girls and women in the creative sector. This weekend, they are organizing a girls' camp in Blantyre, with the aim of nurturing their artistic talents and encouraging their contribution to the industry. The camp, which will be held at the Kairali Complex, is set to kick off on Friday and conclude on Sunday.

Music Crossroads Malawi has been a leading force in empowering girls and women in the arts, and they take pride in their all-female band, Daughters Band. This initiative has provided a platform for talented female artists to showcase their skills and make a significant impact in the music scene.

In another exciting development, seven members from Hear Us Children, a group associated with Music Crossroads Malawi in Lilongwe, have embarked on an educational and cultural exchange program in Barcelona, Spain. The group will be engaging in various activities, including a performance at a prominent festival on Saturday. Hear Us Children is a collective of boys and girls who specialize in traditional dances, aiming to promote and preserve the rich cultural heritage of their country.

The team is expected to return on April 29, 2024, and this incredible opportunity has been made possible through the partnership between Music Crossroads Malawi and Petits Musics del Mon. This collaboration highlights the organization's commitment to providing transformative experiences for young artists, enabling them to broaden their horizons and make a global impact.
