The Zomba City Festival kicked off yesterday and will run until Sunday, offering a diverse range of activities in music, theatre, visual arts, and drama to entertain the attendees. According to the organizers, the three-day event will take place across five venues and eight stages, including popular spots like the University of Malawi, Dominos, Botanical Gardens, Heritage Centre, and Chalice Vine. Festival Creative Director and founder Laura Schuerwegen expressed excitement about the festival's role in showcasing the cultural richness of the old capital city through various art forms.

PIKSY TO DROP HIS FOURTH ALBUM "MUTU"

 Urban music artist Piksy is gearing up to release his fourth studio album, Mutu, by the end of June. The Uncle Short One hit-maker shared the news during a press briefing at Five79 Café in Sunnyside, Blantyre on last two weeks Wednesday morning.  He mentioned that the album's production commenced two years ago. Piksy assured fans that Mutu will stay true to his artistic style, focusing on positive messages that can impact people's lives. The album, consisting of 14 tracks, was recorded at Mike Studios in Blantyre with the help of producers like Jay Mas, BFB, Famous, Don Foxxy, and Toni City.  Despite facing challenges, Piksy expressed satisfaction with his growth as an artist and individual. His manager, Wisdom Phanga, emphasized the importance of learning from past experiences to make improvements.

This was his first time performing in Malawi, and he definitely made it worth the wait. Before this show, Musa Keys had planned to perform in Malawi on three different occasions, but unfortunately, he couldn't make it due to disagreements with the promoters.
