NEW SHOW IN TOWN

Film enthusiasts will soon get a taste of a fresh TV series called Mushroom Shade. The show is set to premiere officially on April 20 and has been created by United States-based filmmaker Chawezi β€˜Chaz’ Munthali, known for the Cashgate scandal-inspired production Highbrow and the upcoming release Misnomer in 2023.

The storyline of Mushroom Shade centers around a childless couple, Phillip and Angella Sani, who are planning to seek medical help. However, a blame game ensues as they both believe the issue lies with the other.

Just like Chaz's previous works, Mushroom Shade promises to be an epic production with top-notch picture quality, smooth transitions, and excellent script execution. The cast includes seasoned actors like Mwai Simbota, Amos Msekandiana, Cynthia Zulu, Bucci, Ben Sam, and Fortunata Makawa, who is making her debut in films.

Chaz mentioned in an interview that they are targeting a specific audience, hence the decision to release it on YouTube for wider accessibility. He aims to reach a broad audience by simply subscribing to their YouTube channel.

The story behind Mushroom Shade delves into various aspects of life and relationships, catering to viewers aged 17 and above. Chaz also hinted that new cast members will join as the plot progresses. Actress Fortunata Makawa, who portrays Angella Sani, expressed her excitement for viewers to enjoy the series.

She is thrilled to work alongside talented individuals who are helping her grow as an actress. Chaz also revealed that his previous works, Misnomer and Highbrow, will be available on YouTube from May onwards.
